Recommendations Regarding Legislative Amendments

The study discusses consumer protection developments and legislative amendments made and proposed during 2019 and 2021. Following the introduction, you may
read about the complexity and importance of consumer protection, administrative acts and legislative amendments made in 2020. The next chapter discusses the
'reform' of the conciliation board. However, it is a matter of discussion whether all changes are appropriate. Thereafter, we move on to the proposed
legislative amendments regarding the text of the Consumer Protection Act, The Act on Duties, Decree No. 19/2014 (IV.29.) of the Ministry of National Economy,
the Commercial Act, and Government Decree No. 210/2009. (IX. 29.), the Act on Minor Offences and the Fundamental Law of Hungary. This part discusses what can
be done against the silence of the conciliation board. The study is concluded with thoughts aiming to enhance the protection and support of the weaker party.
