Kétszáz évvel a Himnusz születése után - Isten neve az alkotmányban

A kétszáz éve született Himnusz első mondatának mottó gyanánt az Alaptörvény normaszövege elé emelésével az alkotmányozó olyan módon helyezte el Isten nevét az Alaptörvényben, ami átléphetett minden, ezzel kapcsolatos vitán. Az alkotmányozó nem új szöveget alkotott, hanem egy olyan mondatot vett elő, ami vitán felül a nemzet minden tagja számára közös kincs, ekként mindenki számára elfogadható lehet. Az idézőjelek nélküli idézet a hívő és a nem hívő polgárok számára egyaránt lehetővé teszi az azonosulást. Míg a személyes hit, vagy vallás kérdése egy társadalmat megoszthat, a választott megoldás nem a megosztottságot növeli, hanem az egységet és az összetartozást erősíti.

Two Hundred Years after the Birth of the National Anthem - The Name of God in the Constitution

By placing the first sentence of the two-hundred-year-old National Hymn of Hungary at the beginning of the Fundamental Law the constitution maker placed the name of God into the Constitution that can be beyond any division and debate. The drafters did not create a new text, but took a phrase that is beyond debate, a common treasure for all members of the nation, and therefore acceptable to all. The quotation without quotation marks allows for identification both by believers and non-believers. Whereas the issue of personal faith or religion can divide a society, the solution chosen does not increase division but strengthens unity.
